The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Professional Services Council strive to recognize outstanding companies each year with the Greater Washington Government Contractor awards. This year PGI was nominated in two categories: Contractor of the Year and Executive of the Year.
During the September 12 finalist ceremony, we learned that PGI is a finalist for Contractor of the Year. In addition to this honor, our CEO Greg Craddock is a finalist in the Executive of the Year category!
“The companies and executives recognized as finalists demonstrate excellence and distinction,” said Jim Corcoran, Northern Virginia Chamber president and CEO. “This is a highly competitive process and those that emerge as finalists have a great deal of which to be proud.”
Contractor of the Year recognizes an area government contractor for outstanding contributions to employees, the GovCon industry and the U.S. government. As for Executive of the Year, it is presented to a government contracting C-level executive who made outstanding contributions to his/her company, the community and the government contracting industry during the past year.
As finalists for these two awards, we’re also eligible for the coveted Program of the Year distinction.
In our applications, we shared about much of the work we’ve been completing in the past year. These contract wins—many of which focus on counternarcotic and counterterror initiatives—are ones that stand true to our mission and strategy of working with projects that contribute to the overall safety and wellbeing of our citizens and civilians around the world. We also shared about our human rights work, corporate social responsibility efforts and how we maintain PGI’s growth trajectory.
We were able to share about these initiatives because of YOU—our team members who work hard every day, whether that’s in the field, in the office or both. You’re the reason we’re able to complete the great work we do. This honor is yours, and we are grateful to have you.
Award winners will be announced in early November. See the full release and all the finalists here.
